The 6 Steps To Recovering Your Laptop Data

Laptops are concentrations of high technologies, so data recovery on notebook computers seems a mysterious secret world where only geeks can succeed.

The Reality is that a great part of this world is accessible to almost all of us. Well of course in the event of shock, water projection or any other accident that can cause a physical destruction of your laptop, you will be certainly forced to call a specialized firm.

However in the other cases the methods functioning on simple PC for the recovery, function almost all on the notebooks.

You can recover most of the data easily with a simple software in the event of losses of data due for example to a partitioning, a failure of the files system, or a fast formatting.

Well what to do when you lose your data?

1. Immediately turn off your laptop to stop any writing operation on the disc.

2. Go to the nearest PC dealer an buy a 2.5" USB case(take care about the ATA and SATA connectivity).

3. Carefully uninstall your drive (there are many manuals on the web that explain how to do this).

4. Mount your drive in the case.

5. Install recovery software on another PC.

6. Connect your drive on this PC and follow the recovery instructions of your software(check before if you have enough space on your PC drive to make the recovery).

Note that the base of a good restoration is to cease any activity on the disc at the time you detect the loss of data.

And remember that there is no better way to avoid the loss of data than to make backups and secure your system.
